Presented on acid-free, archival cotton Photo Rag Giclée paper with a silky smooth finish, from Hahnemühle the world’s oldest mill who have been producing fine art papers for more than 500 years
This print of an original oil painting made by Lina Redford x Lana Frey for their "Alternative Mythology" collection.
Artwork story:
They say she was once a spirit of laughter who fell in love with the scent of the living world.
To walk among mortals, she taught them how to hide beauty inside color,
and from the peel of a lemon she carved her first mask
bright enough to keep sorrow away, fragile enough to let truth shine through.
Each dance she performs renews the sun’s favor,
each smile hides a secret she cannot speak.
At twilight she hangs her fading masks upon the trees, whispering to each:
“Wear joy lightly, or it will fade.”
Some nights, the air still smells of citrus and memory
the scent of Her passing between worlds,
painting herself anew with color and light,
so even spirits remember how to be seen.
EXCLUSIVE COLLABORATION BETWEEN LINA REDFORD AND LANA TIKHONOVA. A UNIQUE PIECE, ARTWORK IS AVAILABLE ONLY IN ONE COPY.
Artwork is made at Lana Art-studio.
Two artists collaborated to create a unique fusion of palette knives’ strokes and expressive brightness of the layers of paint.
The original hand-made palette knife painting on a gallery-wrapped linen canvas. High-quality natural pigment oil paints are used. Does not require framing, ready to hang. Covered with dammar varnish to preserve color and protect from dust and moisture.
Born in a mountain village, Joy was said to have been “kissed by the sunrise,” her fiery red hair marking her as a child of vitality. From a young age, she was enchanted by the hummingbirds that darted among the wildflowers. Unlike others, she claimed she could hear their songs as tiny heartbeats and whispers that no one else could perceive.
As she grew, she discovered that the birds responded to her presence, guiding her toward hidden paths and forgotten clearings in the forest. The villagers came to see her as a symbol of joy and renewal, much like the hummingbird itself. Yet Joy carried her gift with a quiet burden: while hummingbirds lived vibrantly, their lives were fleeting, reminding her of how precious every heartbeat is.
Now, she wanders beyond her home, wearing feather-like patterns and carrying the spirit of the hummingbird in her steps, swift and bright. Wherever she goes, she brings bursts of colour and hope, reminding others that life’s beauty is found in the fleeting, shimmering moments.
Original artwork is sold. Only few print copies are available for sale.
