If you know the legend, you would hear that the sky once belonged to the gods. Humans were allowed to look at it, but never to carry its colours with them.
One day, a girl climbed to the top of a mountain and stole two strands of the sky’s deepest blue.
She wove them into her hair and that is why her hair got tinted with hues of blue.
She was not a muse. She was not a warrior. She was simply a girl with a brave heart.
For stealing the colours of the sky, the gods sent two hummingbirds after her. They were meant to take the stolen colours back. But when the birds came close, the girl was not afraid. She let them stay.
The gods were astonished by her courage. Instead of punishing her, they allowed her to keep the colours she had stolen and gave her the two hummingbirds as their guardians.
Ever since, the two hummingbirds have followed her wherever she goes, guarding the colours she once dared to claim for herself.
And wherever she walks, blue flowers bloom behind her a reminder that courage can be born in the heart of every girl.
The orange sky is the moment between day and night, when the boundary between the human and the divine becomes thin.
